Task Description: KIA ORA EVERYONEE!! Welcome back to my blog, as you guys know it the first week of term 2. For today’s subject we are doing reading and for today we are learning about our Solar System. We are basically learning about outerspace for the term. For today’s task we had to do a reading task which I will post pretty soon. I decided that I should individually post it, Anyways the task I did was creating a poster about our Solar System naming the Solar System’s planets in English and Maori!!! HAVE A GREAT DAY PEOPLE

Task Description: Kia Ora Everyone!! Welcome back to my blog for today’s lesson we are learning about our Solar system. We design posters and share some facts about our Solar System!! I hope you enjoy my poster and reading my facts about our solar system!!

✧･ﾟ:* *:･ﾟ✧Immersion Assembly Term 2✧･ﾟ:* *:･ﾟ✧

This Morning on Monday the 28th of April the start of term 2. We have our annual immersion that happens each term, our focus that we are going to study is”Beyond the Sky” What does Beyond the Sky mean you may be asking, we are studying our solar system/planets!!! I haven’t learned a lot about the Solar System so I am pretty excited to learn about it I HAVE BASICALLY BEEN WAITING FOR TOPIC FOR A LONG TIMEE!!

First we watched the Senior Management team Immersion movie which is our principal and 3 other deputy principals filmed a video of them travelling around New Zealand. Team 1 was learning about the time and different zones. Team 2 is about learning their solar system in a magical school bus. Team 3 teachers did a RAP, THAT IS INSANE they rapped about the sun,moon and the earth. Next was Team 4 their movie was about “Little Einstein” Which is a show for little kids. The best for last was TEAM 5, Mr Wiseman wrote a song called Looovee for the sun. It is basically the song Love written by Keyshia Cole but the solar system version which was very creative I LOVE IT.

After all I had to choose what I really enjoyed watching. My favourite one was OF COURSE TEAM 5!!! The reason why Team 5’s song was my favourite is because I LOVE THE SONG LOVE. It’s a very unique song that Mr Wiseman  has created.

 

✧･ﾟ:* *:･ﾟ✧Inquiry-How to take of your Te Whare Tapu Wha✧･ﾟ:* *:･ﾟ✧

Task Description: Kia Ora Everyone!! Welcome back to my blog and this is my first Inquiry/DLO blog post!!!! Anyways for Pt England School focus is Joy and the Maori version is Koa Koa Mai Koa Koa atu!! Team 5 main focus for Inquiry is about how to take care of your Te Whare Tapu Wha!! We had to record ourselves either at home or at school on Google Vids or Imovie. I used Google Vids because it’s way way easier than Imovie and plus I don’t always have to go on the Flat Screens at school. I couldn’t really add some of the graphics or texts because I don’t really know how to use it’s not really the same as Imovie because I mostly use Imovie and we have an event the coming up so the practise takes most of our inquiry time:(

Reflection Time!!

I really enjoy using Google Vids. My higlight was recording myself and talking about how I usually look after my wellbeings. Something I could really work on is learning how to use Google Vids so I can be like a pro but right now I am a beginner!!

Welcome back to my blog, for today post it’s about writing, out topic that Room 5 literacy is currently focusing on is Nouns and Verbs. if you don’t know what Nouns or Verbs are or maybe even both you might wanna see something that is in there. My highlight was recording what nouns and verbs were and my lowlight was highlighting the nouns and verbs but I have to constantly do that and it actually made my hands tired. Task Description: Kia Ora Everyone!!!! Welcome back to my blog for today’s post I finished my writing. Our writing topic is just creative writing. I choose my writing to be narrative writing. I chose an image  that people are just swimming in the sink!!!! Anyways I hope you enjoy my writing!!!

One sunny afternoon I heard the sink in my bathroom running. I was so confused there was no one upstairs that would be running the sink for that long. I went upstairs and went in the bathroom and gosh the floor and soaking wet!!! There was people in the sink swimming. I called my mum and told her what happened but she didn’t believe me so I told her to go upstairs and checked. She went upstairs and I followed behind her. Her reaction was always excepted yelling like this “ What the why is the floor soaking wet??? 

 

My dad and my sister come and their reaction is priceless too. I went over and said to the people who were swimming. “ Who are you and why are you swimming in my family’s sink? The people were staring like they were ignoring me then I shouted the same thing. This time they heard me. “ What do you think you are doing here?” said the tiny man. I was shocked when he said that I replied with “I live here you don’t?” My mum jumped in and started to yell at the tiny people. “ Mum let me talk to these strangers, don’t yell at anyone you can always yell at me Khaing-May and dad.

I thought to myself you know what, let’s just take out the plug. I put my hand inside the water and the tiny people were trying to stop me from draining the water. They tried to grab my hand but tiny hands couldn’t stop me. But then a man said to me “ Wait, don’t drain the water we really want to swim” That excuse didn’t really convince me. I pulled out the plug and all the water went down. 

 

All the kids were upset, even the adults. My sister went up to them and said “ Can you please go out, we need to clean up this mess” All of them left and then I realised it was all just a dream. I said to myself “ What a crazy and messy dream” I just hope it never happens ever ever again.
